- Standard corporate or gala dinner packages (stage wash, uplighting, gobos, a few moving lights): typically 3–6 hours.
- More complex productions (full stage lighting with multiple moving heads, follow spots, haze, programming of cues, or outdoor/festival work): often 6–12 hours, and sometimes a day-before setup is preferred for larger events.
Factors that affect timing include venue access and loading restrictions, ceiling height/rigging requirements, power availability, and whether the lighting needs to be programmed and fully tested with the rest of the AV system.
